TV and Radio

Due to his popularity Derek has been parodied by some of the country's most famous names. He was surprised at the likeness when Dawn French appeared as "Dawnie Acorah" and John Culshaw has him wondering whether he is undergoing an "out of body experience". Derek was almost hysterical with mirth at Smithills Hall in Bolton with Avid Merrion or, as he appeared in the programme "Craig David". Harry Hill, in his television programme "Harry Hill's TV Burp" has frequently used Derek as a feature on his programme.

Derek has been invited to appear on many, many television programmes including "The Paul O'Grady Show", "Richard & Judy", GMTV's "Lorraine, "This Morning", "Braniac" and many, many more, but perhaps his proudest moment was when he was invited along to make a brief appearance in the cult television programme "Dr. Who", a firm favourite of Derek's.

Derek also spends much of his time at home conducting radio interviews. He can be heard on many different radio stations throughout the UK and USA but his firm favourites are "The Billy Butler Show" - Radio Merseyside and "The James Whale Show" - TalkSport. Derek and Billy go back many years to the days when Derek worked in Liverpool and guested on "The Billy & Wally Show" every Friday morning. He also enjoys guesting on "The James Whale Show" where he will take telephone calls and conduct readings live on air for the callers. Derek and James go back a long way to the late nineties when Derek was a nervous guest on James' radio show to promote his first book.
